Libythea geoffroy
Niklas WahlbergIntroduction
Libythea geoffroy is found in Burma, Cambodia, Laos, parts of Indonesia, parts of Thailand, northern Australia, New Guinea, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, and Lord Howe Island. Females lay their eggs singly on species of Celtis. When threatened, larvae drop from their host plant leaf on a silken thread and remain suspended until the cause of disturbance ceases. The adults exhibit sexual dimorphism.
