Comments	This is a confocal micrograph of leaf epidermal cells. The microtubule component of the cytoskeleton is visible because alpha-tubulin is tagged with a green fluorescent protein. This image demonstrates three different microtubule arrays: the radial array of a stomate (a 2 celled structure that regulates plant "breathing"), a preprophase band (a plant specific array involved in cell division), and the interphase cortical mesh (seems to be involved in cell expansion).
