Introduction

Dolabellopsocidae contains three genera and 37 species.  Dolabellopsocus and Isthmopsocus are distributed in Central and South America. Aurorpsocus is found in China.

How to Know the Family

Family Monophyly

Monophyly of the family Dolabellopsocidae is supported by these morphological characters: pulvillus of pretarsal claw curved and broad, forewing pterostigma very narrow (length is seven times its width), and male clunium with ornamentations on the posterior median border (Casasola-Gonzalez 2006, Yoshizawa 2002).

Discussion of Phylogenetic Relationships

Dolabellopsocidae has not yet been included in molecular analyses.
